At Dynes Transport we love to support our local communities and people who step up to make a difference.
We’ve been supporters of local community trust, Aroha Kaikorai Valley (AKV) since they began back in 2021. The Aroha Kaikorai Valley Trust is all about partnering with local residents, schools and businesses in Dunedin’s Kaikorai Valley to care for their neighbourhood. Through pest-trapping initiatives, native tree planting, and other projects they have a vision to sustain a healthy valley into the future.
When we heard that they needed a shed to store their tools, equipment and pest traps, Dynes came to the party.
Dynes Group organised a sturdy and durable 3.2m x 3.2m shed for AKV. This shed will keep their tools and gear safe and dry, and also provides a great place for them to put up their noticeboard, giving the Trust a visible presence in the Valley.
Our mates at Excav8 gave us a hand with delivering and positioning the shed, and cadets from the Dynes Academy were on hand to put in the elbow grease and gain experience, levelling the ground and then installing and securing the shed to its base.
Good on you, Aroha Kaikorai Valley Trust. We love to see people getting stuck in to help their communities and neighbourhoods be the best they can be.
